PAY WITH LIKES — PROGRAM TERMS
Earn it straight. Keep what you earn.
Last updated June 15, 2026 · Draft — under review
What "Pay with Likes" is
There is no permanent free plan. Instead you can earn time on Orchestrate — the real hero tier (scheduled autonomy and the full cockpit, running on your own Mac), not a watered-down free version — by publicly posting about SynthOS.
There are two, and only two, ways to earn. One qualifying post earns 1 free day of Orchestrate, capped at one free day per account for the lifetime of the account. Every 15,000 public views on qualifying content earns 1 free month of Orchestrate; this is cumulative and stacking (30,000 views = 2 months, 45,000 = 3, and so on). We re-check the public view count periodically and top up months as views climb.
What "free" covers, and what it does not: free Orchestrate is the subscription seat. It does not include your AI provider's thinking bill. SynthOS is bring-your-own-key, so model usage is billed to you directly by your own provider, with no markup from us — that bill stays between you and them.
No card is required to take part. Granting is manual, after a human checks your submission.
Who can take part
An account is required so we can credit the earned time to you; signed-out visitors are routed to sign up first. You must be able to form a binding contract — see the "Your account" clause in our main Terms of Service at /terms.
The post must be genuinely yours: your own public profile or handle, your own words. No buying posts, no bots, no paid-placement accounts you don't control.
Supported platforms are LinkedIn and X. For the 15,000-views month tier, a video of you actually using SynthOS also qualifies. [⚠ confirm with George whether other platforms (YouTube / TikTok / Instagram) count toward the views tier.]
The post must carry the #ad disclosure (or your local-law equivalent — for example LinkedIn's paid-partnership label). This is a hard requirement: earning free product for a post is a material connection the law requires you to disclose.
We never ask you to lie or to post a glowing review. You can be critical. The only requirements are that the post is real, public, live, yours, about SynthOS, and disclosed.
The post tier is capped at one free day per account for the account's lifetime. The views tier has no cap — it scales with your real, organic reach.
[⚠ confirm with George: minimum-age / region restrictions, and whether employees or affiliates of TRU are eligible.]
Referrals
[⚠ PROPOSED — not yet live; confirm with George before publishing or building the backend. No referral mechanic currently exists on /pay-with-likes. This section is a proposed extension only; if George passes, it is dropped wholesale and is not part of the program.]
Proposed: a signed-in participant would get a personal referral link. When someone new signs up through it and themselves earns their first qualifying day (i.e. they post and get verified — not merely sign up), the referrer would earn +1 free day of Orchestrate, capped at a small lifetime total (proposed +5 days maximum). [⚠ confirm cap.]
There would be no views-tier referral multiplier — months are earned only by your own real reach, to keep the headline rule clean and un-gameable.
Anti-circularity would apply: you cannot refer yourself; alt accounts, the same person under multiple handles, and reciprocal "refer each other" rings are excluded.
Any referral rewards would be subject to the same human verification and the same fair-use and revocation rules below. The ladder would only ever grant Orchestrate time — never money, never transferable credit, never anything cash-like.
How we verify
Every submission goes into a small human review queue, and a person on our side checks it. Typical turnaround is within a day.
We confirm the post is live, public, yours, genuinely about SynthOS, and carries the disclosure. The views tier additionally has its public view count re-checked periodically so we can top up months as reach grows.
We decide eligibility in good faith. Borderline calls — is this genuinely about SynthOS? is this view count organic? — are made by us, and we'll explain a decline if you ask.
Granting is not instant or automated. Please don't expect an API-speed unlock; a real person is in the loop.
Fair use & anti-abuse
The program runs on trust and a human in the loop. No fake, bought, bot-driven, or otherwise incentivized views or engagement — view counts must be organic and public. Suspiciously inflated counts can be discounted or rejected.
No deleted, recycled, private, paywalled, or off-topic links. A post that is deleted or made private after earning can have its grant reversed going forward (see below).
One day per account, and no account farming. Multiple accounts for the same person, sock-puppets, and handle-recycling are prohibited and forfeit grants.
No misrepresentation: don't claim a partnership or endorsement beyond a disclosed personal post, don't impersonate anyone, and don't post on someone else's behalf and claim it as yours.
No illegal, hateful, harassing, or deceptive content — it disqualifies the submission and may end your participation.
We may set reasonable rate limits and a per-account or per-period grant ceiling to keep the program sustainable. [⚠ confirm any hard ceiling with George.]
Revocation & expiry
Earned, verified months are never clawed back for view drops. Once a month is earned it's yours; views going down later never take any away.
But grants obtained by abuse, fraud, fake views, or terms violations can be revoked at any time — including reversing days or months credited for content that was deleted, hidden, undisclosed, or proven inauthentic. Revocation here is for bad faith, not for honest changes in reach.
Earned Orchestrate time is not cash, has no monetary value, and is non-transferable and non-refundable. It was earned, not bought, so the /refunds policy does not apply to it.
When free time lapses, Orchestrate access ends — but everything the app made for you stays on your Mac as files you own: your vault, your run history, your outputs. Nothing is held hostage.
We can change or end the program with reasonable notice. We won't retroactively cancel time you've already fairly earned and that is currently active. [⚠ confirm notice mechanism: email / in-app.]
Tax: depending on your jurisdiction, the value of free product you receive may be yours to report. We don't give tax advice.
